About Hart Publishing

The Hart publishing house was founded in 2011 – during that time more than 80 titles were published in Slovenian, English, German and Croatian. At Založba Hart, we co-create original book editions with top Slovenian experts (authors, reviewers, expert editors and designers) that show the beauty and peculiarities of Slovenia and are linked to events that mark our country and are also protocol gifts.

The program areas of the Hart Publishing House are also educational publishing (a collection of biological identification keys for the identification of organisms, dictionaries, encyclopedias, manuals, textbooks) and fiction for children and youth.

The vision of Založba Hart: the creation of quality publications in the field of natural and cultural heritage of Slovenia, educational and fiction publications, mainly original but also translations, with the inclusion of prominent Slovenian authors and experts. Preparation of educational collections and didactic materials and textbooks for various professional fields, thus spreading the recognition of quality teaching materials. Hart Publishing’s books are intended for readers of all ages, from the first steps into the world of books to more demanding professions – to raise the reading level, to improve learning results, to broaden horizons.

The creation of the publishing program is supported by the many years of experience of the founder and editor-in-chief Maja Jug Hartman.
